Helping Others Take Ownership of What’s Next

I work with mid- to late-career professionals at a career crossroad, sometimes by choice and sometimes because circumstances made the choice for them.

Some are navigating a layoff or career transition. Others feel burned out, stuck, or increasingly disconnected from work that once felt meaningful. Their situations may be different, but they all know something needs to change and want more ownership of their income and time.

Most come to me uncertain about what comes next and looking for clarity to make a thoughtful decision and move forward with confidence. My role is to help you step back, slow things down, and get clear about what matters most, both personally and professionally.

From there, we can explore possibilities that better align with your goals, lifestyle, financial priorities, and the future you want to create.

No two paths are the same. Our work is built around your goals, your timeline, and what matters most to you, both personally and professionally.

I Understand the Career Pivot Personally

Before becoming a Career Ownership Coach, I spent 25 years in biopharma leadership roles. I helped build and launch biotech startup organizations, led national commercial teams, recruited and developed people, and supported more than 15 successful product launches.

It was a rewarding career, but it also gave me a front-row seat to how quickly careers can change. Companies reorganize. Leadership changes. Positions disappear. Priorities shift. Sometimes we choose the next chapter, and sometimes it arrives before we feel ready.

I have experienced that uncertainty personally.

My own transition forced me to step back and think differently about work, security, and what I wanted the next stage of life to provide. It also helped me recognize that the skills we build over a career can often create possibilities far beyond the role or industry we know best.

What I found most meaningful throughout my career was helping people see their strengths, grow into larger roles, and recognize possibilities they could not always see for themselves. Today, I get to focus on that work full-time.

A Little More About Me

Texas has always been home. I was born in West Texas, spent part of my life in Dallas, and have lived in the Houston area for the past 24 years.

My wife and I recently celebrated 34 years of marriage, and some of our favorite time is spent with our three grandchildren. We also enjoy traveling, volunteering, and getting outdoors whenever we can.

When I am not coaching, you will probably find me fishing, watching college football, hiking, or leading a golf ball search party with questionable odds of success.

I believe some of the best decisions begin with an honest conversation and enough space to think clearly.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You just need to be open to looking at what may be possible.

“I started with just me and one truck, working out of my garage. I now have four employees, and I am in a commercial space. The earnings potential is pretty well limitless at this point. I am busy. I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
